Huey Shot Back Tee

$40.00

On October 28, 1967, Black Panther leader Huey Newton was shot during a traffic stop in Oakland, CA in which he was able to defend himself and walk away from. Newton was tried with all charges later dismissed by the state of California.

By using Newton’s mugshot in the design of this shirt, it acts as a visual representation of the part of the due process that Black people in America rarely get to do. Due process simply does not exist for too many Black lives. Our protest must not be polite.
